Bursting out of my jammies with excitement tonight as I sit here writing this post.
I'm so thrilled to announce that Jimmy Choos has premiered today on Speaker TV. Check it out here!
I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we had a blast filming it. I reckon the film team from SAE Institute West End have done an amazing job - Kate Jorgensen (Director), Demi Bird (Producer), Brielle O'Mullane (Cinematographer) and Kaydee Ball (Editor).
If you enjoy it, please share it!

I have had the wonderful opportunity over the past few weeks to film a music video with an incredible team of film students from SAE Institute in Brisbane.
This amazingly talented film team, who by the name Pink Ladies Productions, consists of Demi Bird (Producer), Kate Jorgensen (Director), Brielle O'Mulligan (Cinematographer) and Kaydee Ball (Editor). The Pink Ladies came up with a fun, vibrant, retro-inspired concept to bring my single, Jimmy Choos to life. Filming took place over 2 weeks at the SAE studios at West End, as well as an outdoors shoot in Tarragindi. Having a 1950s aesthetic meant we could have so much fun with the costumes, hair and makeup in this one. Our makeup artist, Emma Grimmett, did an amazing job. Check out more photos on the Pink Ladies Productions Instagram page here
I'm very excited to see the end result in the near future. Watch this space for updates on when the music vid will be available!

It's not often you get to play a totally solar-powered gig, so I jumped at the opportunity recently to play at the UQ Union Environment Collective's event, Earth Hour Unplugged, on Saturday 25th March.
It was a fantastic candlelit night with free partner yoga classes, live entertainment, delicious vegan food, and of course live music!
I played keys & vocals, and was joined by Brisbane guitarist Nick Fillod on guitar.
You can check out a snippet of our performance here, playing one of Nick's originals, Stardust - it's a great song!

I was so excited to get my very first radio play last week when Monte, who hosts the programme Uncharted Wednesday Nights on 97.9 Valley FM, gave Jimmy Choos its first spin on the radio.
I couldn't have been more thrilled with Monte's review:
"I absolutely love the song. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. I feel privileged to give it air time and I don't think it's going to be the only air time it gets - trust me."
Monte also said that he can relate to the song being an "ultimate bitching sesh" about mean girls, which I loved! My hubby and I literally jumped up and down with excitement and geekily high-fived each other when we heard Monte's comments :D
The Uncharted Wednesday Nights programme focuses on new music from independent Australian artists. It was great tuning in to the programme and hearing the music presented by Monte. There are so many fantastic Australian artists out there creating some pretty sweet tunes, and I'm chuffed that Jimmy Choos was included in the programme. As a songwriter, I'm grateful that there are music lovers out there providing these opportunities for new independent artists to get their music heard.
And on that positive note, I will end this blog!
